What IS Counselling?

Depending on circumstances and issues, you may have difficulty coping with certain situations. This presents itself in a variety of ways, including:

I work in an integrative way, and this means that I draw upon a range of approaches. This allows me to see what suits you best. Together, we explore the things you’re experiencing and how they’re impacting on your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Often I’m able to identify the triggers that are contributing to your behaviours.

My Counselling Sessions

A counselling session with me lasts for 50 minutes which is known as 'The Therapeutic Hour'.  As a qualified counsellor, I abide by a particular code of ethics, these ethics also mean that I have regular supervision and that I must work as a member of a professional organisation, linked to counselling or psychotherapy. As part of this, I’m also required to hold indemnity insurance.

Whether you’re looking for short-term, long-term, or open-ended sessions, you will be able to talk through your requirements at the consultation.

An initial consultation costs £35.
The following sessions cost £45 each.
 I offer reduced rates for students and those on a low income.
